Beacom School of Business Hosts Top Avera Leaders
Fred Slunecka serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Avera Health and has been at the helm for this major health system for over 30 years. Julie Norton, previously named one of the nations 'up and comers' in healthcare administration, currently serves as Vice President of Finance at Avera Health.
“This was an incredible opportunity to have two outstanding leaders in the field of health care share their expertise with our students, which will benefit them as they continue to develop their skills and understanding of the profession,” said Carole South-Winter, assistant professor of health services administration.
HEAL is a student organization aimed to further increase the knowledge of the healthcare industry in order to build the competitive advantage needed to succeed. HEAL offers opportunities to network with other students and healthcare executives through guest speakers, field trips and meetings.
