The top 100 Beacom School of Business students from the spring 2018 semester were honored for their superior academic achievements. These top performers, which was made up of 18 seniors, 35 juniors, 32 sophomores and 15 freshmen, achieved an average GPA of 3.979. Other students recognized at the luncheon included 66 scholarship recipients, 15 peer advisors and 36 Beacom Direct students. The Beacom Direct students are high achieving first-time freshman who scored a 26 or higher on the ACT and maintained a minimum GPA of 3.6 in high school.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to recognize our students for all of their academic achievements,” said Venky Venkatachalam, Ph.D., dean of the Beacom School of Business. “I am very impressed by these students’ dedication and commend them for their accomplishments.”

Beacom School of Business graduate Ben Cahoy gave a keynote address, recollecting how his involvement and dedication at USD has led to many successes in his career. Cahoy is currently a Sourcing Operations Manager at Sanford Health. Ben was named a 2017 Future Famer by the Bellwether League, the hall of fame for healthcare supply chain leadership.
