Beacom School of Business Students Meet with South Dakota Legislators
Thirty-five Beacom School of Business students attended USD Day in Pierre on Thursday, Feb. 2. The undergraduate and graduate students met with Governor Dennis Daugaard, Lt. Governor Matt Michels and Speaker of the House, Mark Mickelson. The students also had the opportunity to attend the House legislative session and were specially recognized by the speaker during the session.
"Students participated in this event to increase awareness of the significant positive impact our students, faculty and staff have on South Dakota's economy, as well as reaffirm our flagship business school status in the state," said Venky Venkatachalam, dean of the Beacom School of Business.
The students attending this trip to Pierre represented eight different undergraduate business majors and the Master of Business Administration program.
