Beacom student scholarship recipients include Christopher Jansen, Noah Thompson, and Rhye Leonard. Jansen is from Sheldon, Iowa, and will complete the master of professional accountancy program in December 2019. Thompson is from Mitchell, South Dakota, and expects to graduate from the master of professional accountancy program in December 2019. Leonard is from Rapid City, South Dakota, and will complete her master of business administration degree in summer 2019.

“We are grateful for the South Dakota CPA Society’s investment in Beacom School of Business students,” said Venky Venkatachalam, Ph.D., dean of the Beacom School of Business. “Beacom graduates become leaders in the accounting profession, both in South Dakota, and beyond.”

Accounting Excellence Scholarships from the South Dakota CPA Society are targeted at students who have participated in a variety of activities and display leadership potential while pursuing a degree in accountancy. Students must be enrolled in a South Dakota school, have completed at least 90 credit hours, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
