Helene Hegge Recognized by South Dakota Nursing Association for Exceptional Service
University of South Dakota Department of Nursing site director Helene Hegge, M.S.N., was recognized at the 2021 South Dakota Nurses Association (SDNA) Annual Convention for her contributions to the SDNA and the nursing profession.
The SDNA presented Hegge with the award for exceptional service, dedication, leadership and contributions to the profession.
Hegge is a clinical, lab and classroom population health nursing instructor and is committed to seeking out community opportunities for USD nursing students.
SDNA is the professional organization for registered nurses in South Dakota. It is a constituent member of the American Nurses Association. The South Dakota Nurses Association speaks with a unified voice to support professional nursing through advocacy, communication, networking and collaboration across nursing specialties.
