SPURA Alumni Accepted into USD Sanford School of Medicine
SPURA alumni Carly Cooper, Phil Dohn, Chase Howe, Graham Leonard and Nathan Popp were all accepted into USD’s medical school for fall 2023. In the SPURA program at USD, undergraduate students have the opportunity to conduct research alongside a faculty mentor for 10 weeks over the summer. As part of their SPURA experience, students focus on projects related to substance use and related mental health issues.
"USD's SPURA program is an amazing opportunity that not many undergraduate students get to experience at other universities," said SPURA alum Nathan Popp. "The support from faculty and staff is incredible, and being surrounded by other like-minded individuals encouraged me to go above and beyond with my education."
