USD Delta Sigma Pi Chapter Wins First Place and Receives Several Awards
At this year’s conference, the Alpha Eta chapter competed in the Northcentral Province Business Case Competition. In this competition, teams were asked to identify a location for the next Super Bowl. The USD team, consisting of Hannah Person, Sara Martin, Katie Petry, Alexis Ritzman, Miranda Pfund and Jack Hammond, was awarded first place in the competition. Also in attendance was faculty advisor Dan Tracy, along with Garrett Kroger, Brianna Caskey, Amara Morris and Sarah Sauer.
The Alpha Eta chapter was also recognized with a number of additional awards:
- Northcentral Provincial Outstanding Financial Operations Award - given to only five chapters out of over 250 internationally each year
- The Great Plains Regional Outstanding Financial Operations Award
- Chapter Management Chapter of Excellence Award
- Buck$4Brotherhood Legacy Chapter Award
“I am very proud but not surprised by how well they performed at this year’s conference,” said Professor Dan Tracy, chapter advisor for Delta Sigma Pi. “Our incredibly successful student chapter is recognized by other university chapters on a regional and national level.”
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity at the Beacom School of Business dedicated to promoting leadership and networking opportunities to business students at USD. The USD chapter of Delta Sigma Pi has been awarded a total of 30 chapter, regional, provincial and national awards over the past five years.
