USD Launches Podcast Credit Hour
“Through Credit Hour, we hope to provide a public platform for the type of interesting and thoughtful conversations occurring every day between our students, staff, faculty and distinguished guests,” said Michael Ewald, manager of media relations and the podcast host.
In its first episode, USD President Abbott talks about his time at USD – both in the 70s as a student and when he took over as president in 1997, offering amusing anecdotes about his life and career.
“Like all things that are trite, they are often true. I think we are all here for a reason and I think we all have an obligation to do the best we can to make sure that whatever we do results in something positive,” said Abbott.
In Credit Hour’s next episode, Ewald interviews David Earnest, Ph.D., chair of the political science department, about trade relations with China.
