USD Medical Education Program Offers Conference on Substance Abuse and Mental Illness
This conference will offer a rich and varied array of compelling information, with two inspiring keynote speakers, including Pro BMX competitor and recovering addict Tony Hoffman and Sean Astin, an actor, director and producer. Astin is an activist and advocate regarding mental health issues. Four other featured speakers will address mental illness and substance abuse issues, including Vaney Hariri and Tamien Dysart, co-founders of Think 3D Solutions, based in Sioux Falls, Charity Doyle, executive director of the Rapid City-based OneHeart, A Place for Hope and Healing, Eric Muckey, CEO of Lost & Found and J. Carlos Rivera, co-founder of Generation Red Road.
