Step Into Your Second Act

At USD, the stage is open to everyone. You don't need to be a fine arts major to keep making music, creating art, or performing. Whether you took a break after high school, want to dust off your instrument, or simply miss the community of the studio, co-curricular arts is the place for you.

Co-curricular arts is your open invitation into USD's official fine arts programs. Our ensembles, mainstage productions and design groups are open to the entire student body. This is your space to find belonging, step outside of your academic routine and collaborate with others who share your creative drive.

• Earn Scholarships: Students who participate in our athletic bands (marching band and pep band) receive a scholarship just for participating. If you join other ensembles, you are also eligible to audition for competitive, talent-based scholarships.
• Zero-Credit Options: Many of these ensembles offer a zero-credit option, allowing you to participate without worry about tuition costs or overloading your academic schedule.
• Built for Every Student: Whether you are a first-year student finding your footing or a senior wanting to reconnect with your creative roots, there is a place for you. 
• Explore Your Options: You get full access to join our different bands, sing in the choirs, audition for theatre roles, work behind the scenes on set building, lighting and sound, or dive into fine arts and design groups.
