Fraternity Chapters & Recruitment

Make lifelong friends and memories in a fraternity.

You'll have the opportunity to choose from seven fraternities at USD. In addition to forming lasting bonds of brotherhood, each fraternity focuses on:

  • Academic excellence
  • Leadership development
  • Commitment to the campus
  • Community involvement

Fraternity Chapters

Men interested in joining a fraternity should fill out a recruitment interest form as the first step to becoming a potential new member.

Learn About Recruitment

During recruitment, you'll tour chapter houses, meet members and learn more about each chapter's approach to scholarship, philanthropy and social events. Sororities and fraternities at USD provide a formal membership recruitment week, both of which are governed by their respective Panhellenic/Interfraternity Council recruitment rules.

Watch the free, on-demand webinar about Sorority & Fraternity Life Recruitment to learn about our plans for fall 2022. If you have never logged in before, you will be prompted to create a free account.

Success story Trevor Schmidt smiling.
All my favorite memories and highlights seem to focus on the great people that USD has in its community. Through great friendships, campus involvement, and leadership programs I have developed lifelong memories and friendships that I will cherish forever. For me, those activities include fraternity and campus leadership positions, USD sporting events, and spending time with close friends.
