- Vermillion Area Farmers Market
- Vermillion Community Garden
- Missouri Valley Recycling Center
- Spirit Mound
Making Vermillion the greenest town in South Dakota.
Greening Vermillion aims to help Vermillion grow through projects that bring people together to conserve natural resources. As a nonprofit, the group unites government agencies, USD and other community organizations, businesses and individuals to create energy-efficient and sustainable practices, programs and regulations for Vermillion and Clay County.
Vermillion Area Farmers Market
Shop local, eat local.
Vermillion Area Farmers Market is open year round, featuring locally grown produce, jams and jellies, soaps, arts and crafts, eggs, cheese, meat and poultry and plants.
Vermillion Community Garden
Grow wholesome, healthy food for your family.
The Vermillion Community Garden provides local residents with the space and opportunity to raise their own garden, free from chemicals, and in the company of a supportive and friendly community.
Missouri Valley Recycling Center
Making recycling easier.
The Missouri Valley Recycling Center is a drop-off facility provided through the cooperative effort of cities and counties in southeastern South Dakota. It is available to the public and businesses located in Clay, Yankton and portions of Union County.
Preserving and restoring a South Dakota landmark.
Native Americans discovered it, Lewis & Clark documented it and today we're building prairies on it. Come visit!
