Beta Gamma Sigma was founded in 1913, showing a long history of molding corporate, entrepreneurial, government, non-profit and academic role models. Currently, the society has members in all 50 U.S. states and more than 190 countries, equating to over 45 alumni chapters and networking groups, 600 collegiate chapters and 875,000 lifetime members.

Some of the member benefits include graduate school scholarships, internship and leadership opportunities, a strong global professional network, travel discounts and more.

Instructor Henry Wiedrich receives chapter honoree gift from associate professor Rand Wergin.

The program also featured a celebration of chapter honoree and upcoming Beacom faculty retiree, Henry Wiedrich. Prior to his career in higher education, Wiedrich was a consultant in the commercial nuclear field and worked for the Department of Energy. He has been working at Beacom since 2011 as an instructor for Business 101, Human Resources and Training & Development. Wiedrich said he is excited for retirement and looks forward to spending more time with his family.
