Morse and his wife Sherry, who worked for Sesdac for 39 years and also recently retired, met in Vermillion while attending USD and have lived in the area ever since. Morse farmed for much of his life but returned to the university 14 years ago.

Morse started as a member of the facilities management team at USD’s Muenster University Center. After working there and then Patterson Hall, Morse made his way to Beacom Hall, where he worked for the last five years. Morse said that Beacom has been his favorite place to work.

Looking toward his retirement, Morese said he is excited about many things in life, especially getting to spend more time with his wife and enjoy her cooking. Morse and his wife are also looking forward to spending time with their grandchildren, farming, selling flowers and produce at their home market, and traveling.

The Beacom School of Business wishes the best to Morse and his family as he heads into retirement.
