Unite for USD is a 24-hour fundraising event that aims to increase support and funding for USD, its faculty, facilities and students. The university raised a record-breaking $1.9 million in total this year.

The Beacom School of Business raised over $100,000 through 294 donors and 324 gifts for two initiatives, the Global Immersion Program and Coyote Business Consulting.

The Global Immersion Program provides students with transformative learning experiences that allow for practical understanding of global business concepts.

In 2023, students will have the opportunity to visit Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia to learn about the global economy, global health care systems, culture and finance.

Coyote Business Consulting is a student-centered initiative designed to help local businesses stay competitive in the state of South Dakota. The program enables student teams, with the guidance of faculty advisors, to help businesses solve critical problems for their organization.

Coyote Business Consulting is intended to be mutually beneficial for both the students and the business. Consulting services are offered at no charge to the organization, and students will have the opportunity to receive academic credits, financial support and real-world experience.

To show support for this initiative, the Beacom School of Business created a goal for all 66 of South Dakota’s counties to be filled.

“The Beacom School of Business could not provide these immersive programs to help students becom well-rounded professionals and global citizens without its supporters and donors,” said Interim Dean Mark Yockey, Ph.D. “Thank you to everyone involved in Unite for USD.”
