Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) is the only national, professional fraternal organization in sales, marketing and management open to everyone. The organization aims to affect positive change by bringing intentionality into making full memberships accessible to a growing and diverse population of students.

The 2023 PSE National Convention brought in 34 different PSE chapters from colleges and universities across the country to give students tools for professional development through keynote speakers sessions, workshops, and networking with other members and corporate executives.

Freshman marketing major Kylie Parisien attended the convention and said it “was a remarkable experience to attend.”

“I networked with students and corporate members from all over the country, and these opportunities will help me improve and develop meaningful connections throughout my time in college,” Parisien added. “Overall, I’m grateful to have amazing advisors who are passionate about seeing their students improve and grow into leaders.”

At the convention, USD’s Delta Mu chapter competed in a case study competition. Students on the competing team included Parisien, Brian Wickey, Elaine Tierney, Lauren Christensen, Michael Kramer, Rachel Olsen and Taylor Gales.

Marketing major Yesi Angeles-Espinoza also attended the convention and participated in the National Convention Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon® competition, placing fifth out of approximately 130 students.

“The main highlight for me was placing as a finalist in Pro-Am,” Angeles-Espinoza said. “For a long time, I had felt stuck in my personal growth, but after placing fifth, that ‘stuck’ feeling no longer seemed true. I thank my chapter at USD and PSE for showing me that. I’m very fortunate to be part of an organization that cares so much about each of its members."
