This autobiographical show by Jonathan Larson is the story of a composer and how he managed to get his big break in theatre. Torn between making money, creating art and getting married, the protagonist waits tables as he tries to write the next big Broadway hit. Three performers play 10 characters in this compelling story of personal discovery that is a rock musical uniquely blended with musical theatre styles.

Grace Engstrom, freshman BFA musical theatre student, is excited to bring multiple characters to life. “What’s so unique about this show is that it’s only three actors, yet there are a multitude of different characters portrayed in the show,” Engstrom said. “Getting to play different characters throughout the show has been so much fun, as I get to make each character in this story unique and special. 'tick, tick...BOOM!' has it all – the funny moments, the serious moments, the moments you want to get up and dance along.”

Zach Lopez, senior BFA musical theatre student, commends the talent of his cast mates. “There are only three people in this show. Each of my fellow actors bring their best every time they’re on stage,” Lopez said. “The chemistry in this group is electric. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll have a great time. Come see 'tick, tick… BOOM!'”
