Jacobsen, Orr, Lindstrom & Holbrook Hire USD Alumnus Austin Printz

After receiving his undergraduate degree at USD, Printz served as a police officer for two years in Vermillion, South Dakota, before attending law school. During law school, Printz competed on the national mock trial team, interned at a public defender’s office in Rapid City, South Dakota, and at a private practice firm.
Upon graduating law school, Printz was commissioned as a military officer and joined the Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps, where he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During his active-duty JAG career, Printz represented the U.S. and airmen in in court-martial proceedings and deployed to the Middle East.
Following active duty, Printz joined U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) as a civilian attorney at Offut Air Force Base in Sarpy County, Nebraska, where he advised the four-star general on areas of ethics and labor law. Printz is also a member of the Nebraska Air National Guard, where he currently serves as the state area defense counsel, representing the guard members. Printz and his family recently relocated to the Kearney area from Omaha.
Printz practices primarily in general criminal and civil law. He has participated in both state and federal trials throughout the country, including Texas, Nebraska, Massachusetts and South Dakota. Printz is licensed to practice in Nebraska and South Dakota.
