Held at The Warrior Hotel Rooftop, the event brought together 40 students from the USD Knudson School of Law, Morningside University and Briar Cliff University to network with legal employers. Judges, attorneys, in-house counsels and public interest attorneys were present to answer students’ questions and speak about their experiences working in Sioux City.

Kaleigh Koch, a third-year law student at USD, said that Sioux City Night provided a “fun atmosphere to network with members of the Sioux City legal community.”

“It was a good opportunity to connect with other students, attorneys and even judges,” she continued. “Sioux City is unique due to its location, and this event was a good way to gain perspective on what it’s like to practice law in Sioux City.”

“Sioux City Night has become a really fun tradition in the fall semester,” said Knudson School of Law Dean Neil Fulton, J.D. “It’s an excellent opportunity for students to network and meet members of a vibrant legal community and enjoy a lovely night in downtown Sioux City. Potential employers get to meet our brilliant students, and we also have a great chance to meet prospective law students from Morningside and Briar Cliff.”

Crary Huff also expressed their appreciation for the event, and a representative from their firm said, “We truly appreciate our relationship with the USD Knudson School of Law and the opportunities the institution makes available to people in our area. An event like Sioux City Night is such an enjoyable occasion that brings together faculty, students, and alumni and gives them the chance to make meaningful connections. We’re honored to be a part of it and look forward to many more Sioux City Nights in the future.”
