USD’s Master of Public Health Program Achieves Reaccreditation
The CEPH assures quality in education and training to advance the science and practice of public health, focusing on better health through the assurance of professional personnel who identify, prevent and solve community health problems. As the most widely recognized professional credential for public health practice and leadership, the MPH degree prepares graduates to protect and improve the overall health of their communities.
“Our reaccreditation ensures that when students embark on their graduate journey with our program, they can be confident the quality of the program is top-notch,” said DenYelle Baete Kenyon, Ph.D., MPH program director. “This designation reaffirms that our program is high-quality and focused on the health of rural and underserved populations. It also reinforces the value of our program when they’re comparing online MPH programs.”
Established in 2015, USD’s 100% online MPH program is offered in partnership with South Dakota State University. It is the only program of its kind offered in South Dakota, emphasizing serving rural and underserved populations and equipping students with the knowledge and skills to address public health challenges and improve health outcomes across the state and beyond.
