Department of Psychology

Our Department of Psychology is the most comprehensive in the state of South Dakota and has won several national awards for excellence. The curriculum provides coverage of the core areas of general and experimental psychology as well as exposure to psychological applications in several areas.

Disaster Mental Health Institute (DMHI)

The mission of the DMHI is to promote, develop and apply both practice and research in disaster mental health. DMHI faculty are engaged both nationally and internationally in disaster preparedness and response, crisis intervention, refugee mental health, service to Native American communities and research.

Human Factors

Human factors involves the discovery of information regarding human behavior, abilities and limitations and applies these characteristics to the design of systems, tasks, machines, tools and environments to enhance efficiency, safety and productivity in their use.

APPIC resources are for students seeking quality internship and postdoctoral training.

Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards

ASPPB is the alliance of state, provincial and territorial agencies responsible for the licensure and certification of psychologists throughout the United States and Canada.
