Ben is a Contracting & Process Support Manager at Sanford Health and attended the VHA national conference in Las Vegas. He presented about supply chain integration strategy to health systems from across the country.
Ben was the youngest presenter at the conference and said, “It was a great experience to share lessons learned and answer challenging questions posed by healthcare supply chain leaders. Foundations I learned while at Beacom and in the HSAD program have helped me exude confidence in multiple environments at an early point in my career.”
Sanford also received the VHA Excellence Award for Sourcing and Resource Management Processes for the second consecutive year.
Meegan Hanson - Windom, MN
Degree/Major: Health Services Administration (M.B.A.)
Meegan is Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in South Dakota and Iowa with The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, which is the same company she completed her internship with, allowing her her to learn all of the company’s policy and procedures, applications and daily activities at their Sioux Falls facility.
“I still remain in contact with my preceptor and various other employees from the facility in regards to any questions I may have,” said Meegan. “It was the best decision for me to pursue this internship as it is what led me to become an administrator for this company today.”
To ensure she would be eligible for the long-term care specialty for her licensing exam, Meegan completed 1,011 hours of long-term care specific experience.
