Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
As the fall academic term approaches, leaders and experts on the USD COVID-19 Task Force continue to develop plans and resources in preparation for our students' return to campus. From reassessing classroom arrangements to installing plexiglass shields in common spaces, we have been reimagining the campus experience to provide our students with a high-quality education in an environment that prioritizes the health and safety of our community.
In addition to taking preventative measures, we also recognize the importance of having a plan in place to respond to active COVID-19 cases on our campus and in our community. The USD COVID-19 Case Management Plan has been developed based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the South Dakota Department of Health. This comprehensive plan outlines our strategy for ensuring the safety of our community when faced with positive cases of COVID-19, and it is informed by experts in a wide variety of fields. Guided by this plan, we will continue to take actions that reflect our commitment to the safety and well-being of all community members.
In addition to following the COVID-19 Case Management Plan, we can all make a difference by doing our part to protect ourselves and others each day. Thank you for your continued efforts to make our campus a safer place. By wearing masks, maintaining physical distance from others and regularly washing your hands, you are contributing to the health and well-being of our community.
