We eagerly await your return to campus in just a few weeks. Vermillion is not the same without our joyful, energetic campus community. While we understand there may be unexpected challenges as we navigate a fall semester that is likely to be unlike any other in University of South Dakota history, rest assured that we will overcome any hurdles together, united as one Pack.
As you are likely aware, most courses remain face-to-face or have a hybrid component this fall with appropriate social distancing protocols in place. Hybrid courses meet face-to-face on some days but have a remote or online component on others. However, a small number of courses have been converted fully to online delivery. Students enrolled in those courses may have noticed their bill automatically adjusted to reflect the self-support, off-campus pricing. Students who enrolled in face-to-face courses that were converted to 100% online courses will not be required to pay the additional costs associated with online delivery. The USD Foundation will support these students by paying any increase in cost, following federal financial aid guidelines. None of these course changes will negatively impact a student’s ability to receive scholarships.
Students affected by these course changes soon will receive communication with further instructions. If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a ticket to Coyote One Stop. We look forward to seeing our Coyote family on campus soon.
