USD is working hard to ensure that your campus experience is fun and safe this fall. We have truly missed the energy and joy that our students bring to our campus, and we are excited to welcome you to campus in August.
Below are on-campus prevention measures that USD is undertaking to protect the Coyote community of students, faculty and staff as we prepare for your arrival.
- Facilities Management has worked diligently to disinfect all classrooms, restrooms and residence hall rooms on campus.
- Hand sanitizer stations have also been added to entrances of every residence hall and academic buildings throughout campus.
- Hand sanitizer dispensers are also being added to every classroom on campus.
- No-touch thermometers will also be available to the MUC information desk, the Wellness Center and all front desks of the residence halls.
Students will still have access to on-campus buildings such as the library, Muenster University Center (MUC) and Wellness Center. These buildings will include plexiglass shields, more distance between tables, chairs, desks and machines and a readily available supply of hand sanitizer and disinfectant. There will be regularly scheduled deep cleanings in large spaces.
USD will implement social distancing to the extent possible. The university understands that it may not be possible to practice social distancing in some instances.
Students are highly encouraged to wear masks in all communal spaces as a safety measure for themselves and others. All USD students, faculty and staff will be provided a branded USD mask.
