On Friday, May 1, the University of South Dakota announced plans to resume face-to-face instruction for the fall 2020 semester, in coordination with the South Dakota Board of Regents.

We understand prospective students and their parents/guardians may have questions about how the university will proceed with the upcoming academic term in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We also recognize that international students have unique concerns and questions that may not have been addressed in our Townhall for Admitted Students webcast.

On Tuesday, June 2, at 8 a.m. Central Daylight Time, Provost Kurt Hackemer, Vice President of Student Services and Dean of Students Kimberly Grieve, International Office Director Susan Hackemer and International Office Associate Director Patrick Morrison hosted a webcast for admitted international students. The panel addressed questions and provided additional insight regarding the university’s plans for the upcoming months and the options international students have as they prepare to pursue an education at USD. Admitted international students had an opportunity to submit questions in advance and live during the webinar.
