Dear Campus Community,
As the semester progresses, USD continues to enhance our campus resources to ensure our community can make safe, informed decisions. In addition to displaying the USD COVID-19 Dashboard and updates about campus operations, our website also offers direction for those who:
- Have been exposed to COVID-19
- Are wondering if they should quarantine
- Are sick or have symptoms
- Test positive for COVID-19
If you are unsure what precautions or actions to take given your circumstances, please visit usd.edu/COVID19 for recommendations regarding your next steps.
As a reminder, people who test positive for COVID-19, have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, are sick or have symptoms, or have questions about health and safety should contact their health care providers for medical guidance. Students should contact Student Health at 605-677-3700.
Our website now also provides additional details about USD’s self-reporting process and the resources available to students who must quarantine or isolate. If you test positive, have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, or are sick or have symptoms, we also urge you to self-report to the USD COVID-19 Task Force; please send an email to COVID19@usd.edu. Students who self-report will receive further direction and resources to ensure they are supported during their quarantine/isolation period and are able to succeed academically. Please visit usd.edu/COVID19 for more information.
We hope these resources provide clarity as we each determine how best to take care of ourselves and protect others. If you have any questions about USD’s response to COVID-19, please contact us at COVID19@usd.edu. Thank you for your continued efforts to #ProtectThePack.
