On Friday, May 1, the University of South Dakota announced plans to resume face-to-face instruction for the fall 2020 semester, in coordination with the South Dakota Board of Regents.
We understand prospective students and their parents/guardians may have questions about how the university will proceed with the upcoming academic term in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. On Friday, May 8, at 12 p.m. (noon), President Sheila Gestring, Provost Kurt Hackemer, Vice President of Student Services and Dean of Students Kimberly Grieve, and Vice President of Enrollment, Marketing and University Relations Scott Pohlson hosted a townhall webcast for admitted USD students. The panel addressed questions and provided additional insight regarding the university’s plans for the upcoming months. Admitted students had an opportunity to submit questions in advance and live during the webcast.
