Vaccine Distribution
COVID-19 vaccines are currently being distributed in South Dakota. The South Dakota Department of Health has identified priority groups and outlined expected vaccine availability; please refer to the infographics below. Additional COVID-19 vaccine information is available at The South Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 website.
The USD campus community will receive further resources and instruction about vaccine distribution as that information becomes available. If you have any questions, please contact the COVID-19 Task Force at COVID19@usd.edu.
Expected Vaccine Availability in South Dakota
Groups in Phases 1A, 1B and 1C have begun receiving COVID-19 vaccines. The South Dakota Department of Health expects that those in Phase 1D – which includes teachers and other school/college staff – will have a vaccine available to them in February and onward.
Vaccine Priority Groups for Phase 1
The South Dakota Department of Health has identified groups that will be prioritized for vaccine distribution. Teachers and other school/college staff are included in Phase 1D.
