The annual “We Are United” Diversity Symposium is held each spring and consists of speakers and workshops on diversity and inclusiveness. Topics addressed in the past include intergroup relations, Native American history, sexism, transgender people, diversity on campus and stereotyping.

Keynote Speaker

Peterson ToscanoThis year's symposium speaker is Peterson Toscano, a playwright, actor, Bible scholar, blogger, podcaster and gay activist. He will give a keynote talk entitled: "Everything is Connected: An Evening of Stories. Most Weird, Many True." Using theater, comedy and storytelling, Peterson explores LGBTQ issues, privilege, religion and climate change.
