An inclusive campus requires the university's sincere willingness to include all its diverse stakeholders in the decision-making process. No individual or group can be marginalized or systematically excluded. The purpose of the President’s Council on Diversity and Inclusiveness is to advise the president on diversity issues and promote diversity and inclusiveness as a strength, a core element in academic excellence and a reflection of a caring community.
With the support of the Office of the President, the council seeks to ensure an academic environment that welcomes, recognizes, respects and celebrates the heritage of all campus constituents.
