Gain on-the-job experience and earn academic credit towards your major.

As part of the ECON494 course, you can work and earn money at a qualifying job while satisfying one of your upper-level elective requirements for the economics majors or minor. Internships typically run for 9-12 weeks and satisfy three credit hours of coursework.

Here are some important steps to take if you’d like to pursue an internship as part of your course of study

Pursuing an Internship

  • Your job must be approved, for an economics internship credit, by the internship coordinator. Email
  • If you're not sure where to look for an internship, make an appointment with the internship coordinator to discuss your interests. Email
