Students can complete the secondary education program in a variety of subjects. Actual secondary classroom activities and classroom observations begin during sophomore year, and students get extensive classroom teaching experience during the final year of their program.

Complete your Secondary Education, B.S.Ed. degree with one of seven specializations.

Students interested in music education and art education will pursue a degree in the College of Fine Arts. 

Secondary Education/Special Education, B.S.Ed.

If you are interested in special education, you will complete a double major in secondary education and special education.


You can earn certification while taking courses for a different baccalaureate degree.


Teacher Education Program Application

Education majors interested in teaching are admitted to teacher education programs when they have achieved sophomore standing (completion of 30 hours) and have met entrance requirements.
