Bio:

As is the case with others before me, I find nursing to be an art as well as a science. I have worked in a variety of roles as a RN and APRN, and each role builds on the next. I enjoy sharing my expertise in nursing and find it rewarding to learn along with my students. I continue in clinical practice as an APRN in Urgent Care, Internal Medicine and Long-term care at a large practice in Boston, MA. The diversity of the urban population I serve provides me insight into the most current health care issues that I am then able to share with my students. .

Teaching Interests:

I consider myself an expert in the clinical care of adult patients with complex medical issues. I integrate my clinical experience into my daily teaching activities. This not only includes the medical aspects of care, but the professional, leadership and collaboration that is required of a health care provider.

Research Interests:

My research interest include strategies to provide quality care of a patient with Alzheimer's Dementia in the long-term care facility. A second area of interest involves the outcomes of interactive assignments in an on-line program.
