Message from the Dean

The College of Fine Arts students and faculty are outstanding in their work and talent. Their high achievements have helped the departments win awards and provide everyone with exceptional opportunities.

Bruce Kelley head shotOur vibrant campus is active with music concerts, theatrical performances, and art gallery exhibits. We host more than 100 events each year for the campus and surrounding communities. Our faculty invite more than 80 guest artists to appear on campus annually to enhance our fine arts offerings. Princeton Review continues to rank USD as one of the best universities. Our college is exceptional and we are proud to show it every day.

Our students' achievements are highlighted on the department websites and I encourage you to look around to read faculty biographies, student comments and four-year program guides that will inform you about your potential course of study at USD in the fine arts.

We are proud to say that our Department of Art, Department of Music and Department of Theatre are all accredited by their national associations, and have been for many decades. The quality of education we provide has helped our graduates go onto the concert stage, theatre stage, exhibition galleries and graduate schools of note.

Dean's Office

Our office is in Room 109 of the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts, which was constructed and specifically designed to serve the unique needs of the Departments of Art, Music and Theatre.
