Prospective juniors and seniors are invited to come to USD and experience what it is like to be a music major for a day. Participating students will have the opportunity to attend music classes, have a question and answer session with faculty members, observe various ensemble rehearsals and enjoy social time with other prospective students and current USD music students. Students will also receive a lesson with their applied faculty member, embark on a campus tour and have the opportunity to visit the National Music Museum.

This event lets students have the opportunity to experience a “day in the life” of an undergraduate music major in order to have a better understanding of what awaits them as they transition from high school to college. Our hope is that students will come away with a sense of excitement about becoming a music major and becoming involved in higher education in general.
