A limited number of freshmen talent scholarships are available to incoming students who declare theatre as their major. Recipients must:
Students applying for a freshman talent scholarship should complete the admissions and auditions process.
|Jason J. Truhe Memorial Scholarship||Available to all musical theatre students. Preference given to students who demonstrate talent and academic success. Financial need may be considered.|
|Douglas & Susan Tuve Scholarship Theatre||Available to undergraduate students pursuing their B.F.A. in theatre.|
|Robert C. & Karen R. Twitchell Scholarship||Available to junior, senior or graduate theatre students. Preference is given to students who have performed as actors, singers or dancers in musical theatre productions. Recipients must have a 2.5 GPA or above.|
|Nelville A. Seeley Theatre Scholarship||Available to students enrolled in or intending to enroll in the Department of Theatre. Preference is given to graduates of South Dakota high schools who have a demonstrated financial need.|
|First Nighters Scholarship||Available to theatre majors. Recipients must be involved in theatre productions during their scholarship year.|
|Warren M. Lee University Theatre Memorial Scholarship||Available to theatre majors who display talent, contribute to the theatre and demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.
|Roger Miller Memorial Scholarship||Available to theatre students who display excellence and potential in theatre productions.|
|Strollers Memorial Scholarship||Available to all students (freshmen through graduate students) majoring in dramatic art but who also demonstrate excellence in the performance arts, who have high academic standards, good character and financial need.|
|University Theatre Scholarship||Available to all theatre students.|
|Robert F. & Dorothy Cooper Foote Fine Arts Scholarship||Available to undergraduate theatre students with a 2.75 GPA or better.|
|William A. "Bill" Phelps Theatre Scholarship||Available to students with at least a 2.6 GPA who are pursuing their B.F.A. degree. Recipients will be chosen based on talent. Some stipends may be available to graduate students pursuing an M.F.A. degree in the Department of Theatre.|
