American Indian Health Sciences Resources
The USD School of Health Sciences (SHS) is the state of South Dakota’s premier school of health and human service professions, preparing students for inter-professional, collaborative practice to meet the workforce needs of the region. Faculty members contribute to their respective professions through teaching and curriculum development, research, scholarship, community service and engagement, and state of the art healthcare simulation labs that provide real world learning experiences. The school recognizes the importance of a diverse health care workforce and considers American Indian (AI) health an institutional strategic priority. Furthermore, the SHS mission reflects a commitment to partnering with American Indian communities and fostering education, service and research.
