This interprofessional training is a joint venture with the Sanford School of Medicine and School of Health Sciences, the South Dakota Department of Health and Yankton Rural Area Health Education Center.
The disaster preparedness training day involves students from all of our Health Sciences programs and shows them how to work together if a major disaster were to occur.
During the training, you will participate in:
- Personal preparedness planning
- Community preparedness and planning
- Disaster health system training
- Public health law and ethics education
- Small group workshops
