The International Club connects domestic and international students through various activities and welcoming students that crave more culture.
The International Club meets on biweekly basis for regular meetings, which consist of presentations about various countries, entertaining games, multicultural dances, speakers and more. In addition to general meetings, the International Clubs hosts several bigger events thorough the academic year as well. In the past, those included a multicultural speaker series, laser tag, Culture Shock, volleyball and soccer tournaments and more.
The biggest annual event hosted by the International Club is the Festival of Nations. With about 350 attendees, the Festival of Nations is the largest multicultural event at the University of South Dakota. At this event, student from many countries come together and celebrate diversity on campus through food, performances, and art. In recent years, the Festival of Nations offered about 60 different dishes from 30 different countries and several music and dance performances.
The International Club annually sponsors the University of South Dakota Festival of Nations, a unique cultural experience offering food and entertainment from more than 15 countries.
