Graduate students may receive material on course registration from their admitting school or department before their departure, while others may not. Undergraduate students will hear from their academic advisor. Information on how to register for courses and many academic resources will be available to all students at the orientation. Students must consult with academic advisors in their departments or schools before choosing courses for the semester.
After registration, there is a period of a couple of weeks called the drop/add period during which students can alter their class schedules if necessary. See the academic calendar for specific dates and deadlines.
