The Department of Internal Medicine residency program has the John L. Boice Scholarship, which is given to a second-year resident interested in research. The Michael McHale Scholarship honors the medical student with the highest score on the Objective Structured Clinical Examination.
Students who want to learn more about internal medicine can become involved with the special interest group. A student representative from each class will interact with the American College of Physicians and the Department of Internal Medicine to help select current topics of importance to medical students. Interested students will meet monthly with faculty and residents to discuss these topics. All medical students are welcome.
