VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota will host the 27th annual Quad State Marching Competition Saturday, Oct. 17 at the DakotaDome.
Two dozen marching bands from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota will compete in four different classes – 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A – beginning at 9 a.m. Awards in classes 1A and 2A will be announced at 12:30 p.m. followed by performances from 3A and 4A classes. Awards in classes 3A and 4A will be announced at 4:45 p.m.
In addition to the 24 high school bands competing on Saturday, the USD Marching Coyotes will have two scheduled performances at 12:30 and 4:30 p.m.
Cost for admission is $8. The event is also available via webcast at sdpb.org.
