VERMILLION, S.D. -- High school students with a genuine interest in creative writing will participate in the 2010 Sorcerer’s Apprentice: A Creative Writing Camp this Saturday at The University of South Dakota.
Sponsored by the Dakota Writing Project (DWP), a local teachers’ organization affiliated with the National Writing Project, and the Vermillion Literary Project (VLP), an award-winning student organization, this one-day camp is 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Activities include workshops on fiction, poetry, revision and performance. Students will perform their writings during a public reading at 4 p.m. in Farber Hall.
This is the fifth year of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Camp featuring talented high school students who were nominated to attend the camp by school administrators, teachers, and other educators.
