VERMILLION, S.D. -- Andrea Rosenburg, a student at The University of South Dakota School of Law, will be presented with the 2010 William F. Day, Jr. Law Student Pro Bono Award during the 78th meeting of the State Bar of South Dakota on Friday morning in Rapid City, S.D.
Presented by the State Bar of South Dakota and the state pro bono program, Access to Justice, Inc., Rosenburg, from North Tonawanda, N.Y., will receive a plaque and a cash stipend funded by donations from members of the State Bar of South Dakota and substantial donations made by the Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun and Day Morris Law Firms. Cheryl Hanna, Access to Justice Director, will present the award.
The William F. Day, Jr. Law Student Pro Bono Award is an annual award created in 2008 in honor of William F. Day, Jr., the state’s first pro bono coordinator. The award recognizes the dedication and motivation of a law student who most enhanced the delivery of quality legal services to indigent people and underserved communities in South Dakota while as a student at The University of South Dakota School of Law.
