Popular electro hip-hop music duo, Timeflies, to appear at USD

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota’s Campus Activities Board is proud to present nationally recognized electro hip-hop musical duo, Timeflies, in concert Monday, March 31 at 8 p.m. Local artists Two Shakes and Midwest Blessed will open for Timeflies.

The concert will be held at USD’s DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D. and tickets for the show can be purchased at at various pricing tiers, which are as follows:

Formed in 2010, Timeflies is an American music duo consisting of producer Rob Resnick and vocalist Cal Shapiro, who’s 11?song 2012 debut album, “The Scotch Tape” reached number one on the iTunes pop chart within 24 hours of its release. Their first EP, “One Night,” debuted later in 2012 at number one on the iTunes pop chart, and Billboard named Timeflies as one of their 13 artists to watch for in 2013. The duo’s popularity among college-age listeners continued to soar when they started “Timeflies Tuesday,” a weekly YouTube video release of remixes, live covers, and free styling over original songs. Vanity Fair dubbed Resnick and Shapiro “musical masterminds.”

The University of South Dakota’s Campus Activities Board is a student?run organization that provides diverse programming to campus and is funded by Student Activity Fees. Dedicated students serve as officers, coordinator chairs, and committee members, who ensure each CAB experience provides an opportunity for networking, leadership development, education, and entertainment for USD students.
