SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Coyote fans now can shop at a larger holiday store in the Empire Mall that offers clothing, accessories, tailgating gear and other gifts.

USD started selling logo merchandise in Sioux Falls in 2013 with a holiday cart in center court, graduated to a 650-square-foot store in 2014 and this year expanded to 4,000 square feet in the former JoS. A. Bank Clothiers at the northeast entrance, opposite the Dick’s Sporting Goods wing. The larger venue, which will be open through December, allowed the addition of a full range of tailgating merchandise, including tents, coolers, tables and chairs.

"We work hard to give people a good price-range -- from the high-end Adidas pieces to affordable T-shirts and sweatshirts for the whole family,” said Tena Haraldson, director of USD Marketing Communications and University Relations.

New merchandise will be arriving every week and listed on the store’s Facebook page.

New this year is “house divided” merchandise that incorporates both USD and South Dakota State University logos. “So many families have connections to both of our great universities, and this merchandise allows people to honor both schools,” Haraldson said.

USD also has a selection of merchandise for sale at Bling-n-Fashions at the Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City, Iowa.

Founded in 1862 and the first university in the Dakotas, the University of South Dakota is the only public liberal arts university in the state, with 202 undergraduate and 84 graduate programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, School of Education, Knudson School of Law, Sanford School of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Beacom School of Business and College of Fine Arts. With an enrollment of nearly 10,000 students and more than 400 faculty, USD has a 16:1 student/faculty ratio, and it ranks among the best in academics and affordability. USD’s 18 athletic programs compete at the NCAA Division I level.
