Beacom School of Business Named to Global List of Top Online MBA Programs

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Beacom School of Business ranks among the top 30 in a global ranking of distance online programs by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), which ranked the University of South Dakota's online MBA program 28th on its 2016 ranking at The education analysts at QS provide learners with detailed information to assist in their educational decisions and chose USD among its largest list of online MBA rankings in its history.

Beacom School of Business achieved the MBA ranking through various factors, including high scores in class experience and student quality. These factors are made up of a number of measures, such as Beacom students’ average years of work experience, GMAT scores and participation in collaborative group work in courses. The ranking also included measures that note the quality of online faculty, faculty/student ratios and Beacom School of Business’ Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Accreditation.

This new ranking is among a list of sources that consistently rank the school among top MBA programs. “We are delighted to see our online MBA program among the top 30 in this recent global ranking. USD's MBA program emphasizes analytical and critical thinking skills, evaluation of alternative courses of action, understanding of the impact of the business environment on business decisions and application of ethical principles in identifying and resolving business dilemmas. Students have the option of enrolling in a face-to-face, online or hybrid format.


USD's Beacom School of Business was established in 1927 and has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1949.
