President Abbott Honored with Celebrations

VERMILLION, S.D. – University of South Dakota President James W. Abbott will be honored at several events April 20-21.

The first event, hosted in the Muenster University Center at 12:30 p.m. on April 20, will celebrate President Abbott’s retirement with free cake as well as buttons decorated with an Abbott bitmoji.

The second event, a red tie celebration hosted on April 21, will honor President Abbott’s years of dedication to USD. This event will include hors d'oeuvres, live music, drinks, desserts and more. The celebration will be held at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion. All alumni and friends are invited.
