USD Celebrates Lunar New Year

VERMILLION, S.D. – The University of South Dakota Asian American Student Association hosts the third annual Lunar New Year Celebration Feb. 17 from 6-8 p.m. in the Muenster University Center Grand Ballroom.

The event celebrates different Asian cultures and includes games, entertainment and different Asian cuisines.

The event is free for USD students and $7 for staff and community (children under 10 are free).


Founded in 1862 and the first university in the Dakotas, the University of South Dakota is the only public liberal arts university in the state, with 202 undergraduate and 84 graduate programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, School of Education, Knudson School of Law, Sanford School of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Beacom School of Business and College of Fine Arts. USD’s 18 athletic programs compete at the NCAA Division I level.
